Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Colombo to Kandy, with an exciting stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can witness and interact with Sri Lanka’s majestic elephants. Continue to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka, and visit the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Travel from Kandy to Nanu Oya by train, a scenic ride through the lush hills of Sri Lanka’s tea country. Once in Nuwara Eliya, visit a historic tea plantation and factory, where you can see the traditional process of tea-making and taste freshly brewed tea. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Gregory Lake, surrounded by misty mountains. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
On Day 3, travel from Nanu Oya to Ella by train, one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, passing through lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and tea plantations. Begin your day with a hike to Little Adam’s Peak, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of Ella Gap and the surrounding valleys. In the afternoon, visit the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, an architectural marvel set against the backdrop of green hills. Overnight stay in Ella.
Travel from Ella to Yala by car, stopping to visit the stunning Ravana Waterfall along the way.
